• The Director, Hotel Sales, International MICE is responsible for managing a portfolio of international accounts focused on meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) • This role drives business development through strategic sales initiatives such as outside sales calls, site inspections, and targeted customer events • Serve as a liaison for LA Tourism’s Lead Hotel members, collaborating on revenue strategies, managing communications, and coordinating travel and industry events • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the Los Angeles marketing and competitor destinations while building strong relationships with global clients

Requirements

• A minimum of 6-8 years’ relevant experience required, of which 1-2 years must be directly related to the international MICE, hospitality, accommodations, travel, and/or tourism segments • Must possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license and be able to drive a vehicle for work-related travel as needed and as applicable to the position • Must be willing to partake in a comprehensive background check including a drug test in accordance with applicable laws • Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time, with 75% of the travel being international and 25% domestic • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed, typically two or more times per month • Personal and professional initiative, enthusiasm, and dedication to excellence in wide ranging services to Los Angeles Tourism’s clients • Ability to establish and maintain a systematic approach for assuring high standards of productivity within the department • Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Dependable, great attitude, highly motivated and a team player • Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines • Ability to communicate effectively across various departments • Ability to work in a changing environment
