β’ Develop and maintain world-class Technical Service for customers. β’ Serve as the voice of the customer to identify opportunities for product performance and service improvement, as well as sales opportunities. β’ Meet or exceed the Annual Objectives agreed with Manager. β’ Lead his/her Technical Team and make them accountable to deliver the Annual Objectives, monitoring performance. β’ Lead and implement corrective actions to achieve target commitments. β’ Develop overall strategy for customer technical service, including product applications and improved customer productivity and account profitability. β’ Work with the Development team to continuously improve product performance. β’ Maintain an environment of teamwork that facilitates the appropriate involvement of resources and the quickest execution of high caliber, strategically aligned service. β’ Promote external communication and interaction to leverage the use of technology through seminars, presentation of technical papers in conferences, and regular meetings with Steel makers and other suppliers in the Steel industry. β’ Lead the development of improved technology systems (e.g., training, prioritization) that addresses all of the critical needs for short-term and long-term success.
β’ A Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Materials Science or Metallurgy. β’ A Master's degree in similar field is preferred. β’ 10+ yearsβ experience of relevant experience in the steel or refractory industry. β’ 5+ years of Management and/or Leadership. β’ Ideally the candidate will have knowledge of EAF technology. β’ The candidates we seek will have an understanding of the economics of the business and the dynamics of the industry, customers, and competitors. β’ Demonstrated proficiency at problem solving. β’ Strong business acumen and data analytical skills are required.
