Description

• Work with the distributors, manufacturer's rep' organizations and customers (existing and potential) within the designated territory to increase business with existing customers and new customers and new products. • Responsible for the attainment of direct booking goals and distributor sales and goals for the region. • Takes ownership of strategy development, including pricing recommendation, for all strategic accounts within the region and secures concurrence of agreed upon strategy from the Director of Sales. • Responsible for managing accounts, ensuring clients are satisfied and generating new sales opportunities. • Attend sales meetings and other company meetings as requested; may attend industry shows and conventions. • Interact with Galco management, vendors, inside sales, and technical team to develop customer strategies, coordinate follow-up effort, maximize profits, close orders, and ensure efficient and effective project delivery. • Actively participate in sales meetings and reporting on sales goals, forecasting, and wins.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of field sales leadership experience in the electronics / distribution industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Knowledge and understanding of sales, purchasing, operations, systems, vendors, product and operations. • Exhibits exceptional knowledge of company products and services. • Demonstrates persuasiveness, tenacity, and strong selling skills. • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, including excellent presentation skills. • Exhibits strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. • Must be organized and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. • Ability to travel up to 75% required. • Must possess a valid state driver’s license, safe driving record, and be insurable by the company’s liability carrier.
