Description

•Leadership role responsible to implement Genezen’s overall business development strategy by directing and managing business development activities including sales and marketing. •Lead the BD team in identifying, qualifying, and pursuing business opportunities to achieve annual sales and revenue goals and build a customer and project pipeline to support the long-term strategic plan. •Partner with the CCO on assessing commercial opportunities and generating and cultivating prospective clients and opportunities. •Drive opportunities through the contracting process to successful agreements, requiring a comprehensive understanding of the gene and cell therapy market, viral vector process development and manufacturing technologies, and the drug development regulatory environment. •Influence positive outcomes without direct reporting authority.

Requirements

•BS in Business or Scientific discipline (Essential) •Advanced Degree in the life sciences and/or business (Desired) •10+ years of sales/technical experience or client relationship experience, ideally in a bio-manufacturing or CDMO environment (Essential) •Experience with CRM Software (Essential) •Experience with negotiating long-term commercial contracts; strong negotiation skills (Desired) •Knowledge of or experience with viral vector manufacturing (Desired) •Strong influencing skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple competing priorities and projects (Essential) •Strong negotiation skills (Essential) •Ability to think strategically/see big picture (Essential) •Deal-making experience with a clear record of results and ultimate transactional responsibility (Essential) •High levels of initiative, self-motivation and energy to lead and direct the BD and marketing team (Essential) •Highly organized with an ability to manage complex information and work effectively to deadlines (Essential) •Ambitious and performance-oriented with a strong focus on meeting targets and consistently moving opportunities through the pipeline (Essential)
