📋 Description

• Grow your career as Business Development Manager within ALG Vacations. • You will be responsible for representing and selling Travel Impressions, Apple Vacations, Funjet Vacations, United Vacations, Southwest Vacations, Blue Sky Tours in your respective territory to the travel agency community. • You'll develop and enhance strong agency relationships and mutually beneficial partnerships with the objective to grow incremental revenue and profitability. • You will take a consultative selling approach with travel agencies to identify share shift opportunities from our competition, leverage preferred relationships and execute engagement plans to grow incremental revenue. • The territory today will be responsible for Nor Cal, OR, WA, ID, NV, HI, AK. Territory is subject to change.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university; or three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Travel industry knowledge or experience preferred but will consider other candidates with transferable sales background to perform this job successfully, a team member must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Being able to travel up to 70% of the time is crucial for this job. • Customer Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction. • Marketing – Knowledge of principles and methods for showing or promoting products and services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics. • Sales Experience – Knowledge of principles and methods for selling products and services including sales techniques and sales control systems. Ideally, consultative sales experience. • Negotiation skills – the ability to position ALG VACATIONS as a solution to an agency’s needs, ultimately persuading agency to commit to selling our products. • Judgment and Decision-Making – Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. • Analytical Skills: the ability to dissect reporting and take appropriate action to grow revenue. • Knowledge of pivot tables a plus. • Learning from Past Experience – Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making. • Excellent communication skills: the ability to write clearly, concisely. • Strong verbal skills – the ability to communicate clearly the benefits of our products with the how/why an agency should work with us. • Strong listening skills – ask the right questions and hear what is important to an agency.
