Description
• Responsible for recruiting students for IES Abroad programs • Provide quality pre-departure advising for IES Abroad students • Manage relationships with U.S. colleges and universities in the IES Abroad consortium • Manage ongoing relationships with study abroad advisors and faculty • Engage diverse prospective students promoting IES Abroad programs • Serve as an advisor and main contact for prospective students • Serve as departmental expert on specific IES Abroad programs • Analyze enrollment in the region • Develop strategies for targeted recruitment and college relations goals • Deliver materials to consulates for student visa processing • Maintain regular and predictable attendance
Requirements
• 3-5 years of experience in the field of study abroad or related experience in higher education • Effective written and interpersonal communication skills • Experience in educational advising • Ability to prepare and present engaging presentations • Talent for organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Strong customer service skills and focus • Ability to manage high call and email volume • High level of enthusiasm, energy, flexibility, and diplomacy • Strong leadership aptitude • Skilled in handling stressful situations, i.e., advising anxious students and parents • Passion for embracing business process improvement opportunities • Ability to work in home-based office and from other areas in the recruitment region • Experience working with or advising students • Proven track record in recruitment, customer service, higher education admissions, or study abroad advising • Personal study abroad experience preferred • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and database literacy • Exceptional team player: proactive and responsible, with the ability to learn rapidly
