• Sell products to prospects and customers • Act as point of contact post-sale • Focus on ongoing customer satisfaction, retention, and growing business • Partner with existing and new potential customers for sales presentations, product demonstrations, and training on a regular basis • Close new product sales. • Develop and deliver customer training. • Maintain and strengthen customer relationships. • Use Sales Force.com to track contacts and opportunities and generate quotations. • Prepare monthly sales forecast. • Maintain a weekly calendar of activities. • Attend industry-related trade shows, symposiums, and professional association meetings. • Develop short and long-term goals and strategies for the territory. • Create and develop new customer prospect accounts while leveraging existing relationships.
• Superior time management and project prioritization abilities are essential. • Make practical decisions with minimal direction to achieve budget goals. • Knowledge of liquid handling, cell culture, microbiology, and basic research lab procedures a plus. • Proficient with customer communication, reporting, time management and correspondence. • Self-sufficient with strong interpersonal skills. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse customer base and coworkers is critical. • Experience with CRM-(Salesforce.com) or similar. • Possess strong customer relationships already in the region. • 1-3 years of experience selling to the scientific community. • Existing relationships within the life science and academic laboratory research field in the region. • Understanding of laboratory processes objectives and challenges. • Experience in the life science and basic research fields or liquid handling is a plus. • BA in a scientific discipline is also a plus.
