Description
• The primary function of the Cash Applications Analyst is to maximize the Company’s cash flow and revenue through the timely application of funds. • Accurately apply cash receipts to customer/client accounts, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies within 24 hours of receipt. • Prepares journal entries to assure proper cash recognition of receipts • Research and respond timely and completely to inquiries related to incoming funds, broker referrals and affinity members. • Perform daily reconciliations of cash transactions and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. • Reviews daily bank correspondence and reports to assure that prompt action is taken • Supply documentation and explanation to Cartus personnel as needed to resolve cash applications inquiries. • Identify areas for efficiencies. • Participate in Projects as needed.
Requirements
• A minimum of 2 years business related undergraduate studies or equivalent work experience in bookkeeping or accounting a plus • Background in banking a plus • Cartus internal systems such as: Project Accounting and Oracle system knowledge, a plus
