📋 Description

• Ledger is a Y Combinator-backed Insurtech startup transforming how insurance risk is financed. • Building a marketplace enabling re/insurers to transfer risk to capital markets investors. • Over $2 billion of premium volume originated to institutional investors. • Expanding a market on a trajectory to become a $100 billion one with a seamless data platform. • Looking for a senior-level professional with a background in reinsurance deal origination, investment banking, or consulting in re/insurance space to drive business development with large insurance and reinsurance companies.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years experience in reinsurance broking (origination roles), P&C ILS origination, or investment banking or strategic advisory experience with insurance and reinsurance companies required • Extensive network with insurance/reinsurance company executives • In-depth knowledge of PC insurance and reinsurance, strong understanding of casualty risks, and/or familiarity with insurance-linked securities or structured finance products • Understanding of re/insurance company capital models • Entrepreneurial mindset with proven ability to sell capital-efficient products to C-suite executives • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate complex concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other related graduate degree is a plus
