Description

• Responsible for producing effective written communication for an IT Division within a federal agency on policies, procedures, and guidelines. • Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to analyze, recommend, author, and deliver documentation. • Develop, draft, and maintain IT-related policies to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks. • Create strategy to educate workforce on proposed and ongoing efforts to drive efficiency and ensure compliance. • Analyze business processes to determine documentation requirements. • Write various types of documentation, such as policies and operational procedures. • Manage regular reviews with SMEs to maintain document accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years’ experience; Master's degree and 4 years’ experience; may accept additional experience in lieu of degree. • At least three (3) years of experience in policy analysis and policy writing either in Government (federal, state, or local). • Previous experience in policy writing, preferably IT-related topics, is required. • Expertise and experience with working in a customer “start-up” space, where all new policies are needed. • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills • Knowledge of the principles and methodologies of business process reengineering. • Knowledge of current and emerging methods and developments in the field of IT management. • Knowledge of the concepts, characteristics, and capabilities of information technology security and systems. • Ability to work with limited supervision. • Ability to multitask and prioritize and deliver high-quality, accurate work within targeted deadlines.
