• The Business Development Representative (BDR) will be responsible for generating new leads, initiating contact with potential clients, and qualifying prospects for our sales team. • This role requires a proactive individual who is comfortable with outbound communication, research, and building rapport with potential clients. • The BDR will collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to support the overall business development strategy. • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential leads and target industries/sectors. • Reach out to leads through various channels, including cold calling, emails, social media, and networking events. • Introduce Maropost's products/services to potential clients, highlighting our value propositions and benefits. • Qualify leads by assessing their needs, budget, timeline, and decision-making authority. • Schedule and coordinate meetings and demos between qualified leads and the sales team. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions and information in the CRM system. • Collaborate with marketing to ensure alignment between outbound efforts and overall lead generation strategies. • Stay updated on industry trends, market changes, and competitive landscape to provide relevant insights during prospect interactions. • Participate in regular training sessions to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and objection handling skills. • Meet and exceed individual and team-based targets for lead generation and qualification.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required). • Proven experience in outbound sales, business development, or lead generation. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Persuasive and confident demeanour with the ability to handle objections and rejections professionally. • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail. • Familiarity with CRM software and lead tracking systems. • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. • Goal-oriented mindset with a drive to exceed targets and quotas. • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced and evolving business environment. • Knowledge of eCommerce and Retail trends and terminology is a plus.
