•National Sales Director (Utilities & Infrastructure) •Competitive Salary, Bonus, Car & Benefits •Internal Applications only •Marshalls Civils and Drainage takes pride in crafting cutting-edge drainage solutions and versatile civil engineering products. •A well-known companion in building a resilient, watertight foundation. •Proudly a part of Marshalls plc, the UK’s leading supplier of hard landscaping, building, and roofing products. •Join us as we build the future together! •Join us as we embark on a journey of innovation and excellence, where your contributions will play a vital role in building a sustainable tomorrow. •We are now recruiting for a National Sales Director (Utilities & infrastructure) to join the Civils & Drainage senior leadership team. •As National Sales Director you will be responsible for developing, leading and driving the national sales strategy within the water, infrastructure, and utilities sector. •Ensuring the achievement of ambitious growth targets through a commercially focused approach, the role will involve developing, and leading a high-performing team of Business Development Managers, building and fostering a high-performing results-oriented culture, as well as cultivating and maintaining strategic relationships with senior-level customers in the water and utilities sector. •Key Accountabilities: •Develop and implement a commercially driven strategy to maximise the opportunity within the water, infrastructure and utilities sector, setting budgets and performance targets that will drive top-line growth, profit margin expansion, and market share gains. •Build and promote a high-performing team culture capable of delivering exceptional results, including training, coaching and performance management. •Drive commercial excellence, maximising profitability through effective pricing strategies, contract negotiations, margin management, and cost control. •Develop and implement financial plans and budgets, monitoring key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement. •Build and maintain senior-level customer relationships, cultivating and strengthening strategic partnerships with key customers to ensure long-term, profitable and sustainable business. •Collaborate effectively with other departments, including design, engineering, marketing, product development, and operations, to achieve business objectives. •Identify and secure new business opportunities within the water, utilities and infrastructure sector. •Maintain overall budgetary control for the team. •Actively participate in the senior leadership team, providing input and insights to shape the company’s future growth strategies and business plans. •Represent Marshalls at industry events and conferences, building relationships with key industry stakeholders. •What are the mission-critical skills? •You will bring a proven track record in sales or commercial leadership, with demonstrated success in driving a sales team to exceed targets.
