📋 Description

• The Director of Business Development is a highly driven self-starter. • Identify and acquire new customers while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients. • Lead sales activities resulting in meeting or exceeding annual targets in the territory. • Identify and develop new client leads. • Develops and cultivates long-term relationships with existing customers. • Ensure in-depth client needs assessments are completed and MDC presents targeted service offerings best matched to their needs. • Leads the proposal and contract process to ensure the alignment of all stakeholders and a high level of customer satisfaction. • Work directly with internal stakeholders to ensure projects are kicked off effectively and timely after contract signing. • Supports the promotion of MDC through tradeshow attendance and other marketing initiatives. • Assist in planning and coordination of commercial strategy and provide input on service line expansion. • Develop and maintain in-depth product knowledge. • Collaborate to drive MDC's commercialization strategy to support continued growth.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience • Must have direct experience working in In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) • Must have direct experience selling CRO services • Direct sales experience, required • Demonstrated consensus building and negotiation skills. • Positive team-player with strong desire to "win". • Proven track record closing new business and year-over-year sales growth. • Excellent written, verbal, and formal presentation skills. • Demonstrated commercial success. • Strong understanding of IVD required. • Up to 30% travel.
