β’ Provides leadership, strategic planning, direction, and implementation of the post-market publication plans and execution β’ Maintains a professional and credible image with physicians, professional societies, consultants, vendors, and co-workers. β’ Builds relationships and establishes rapport with KOLs as the clinical and medical expert on the company products. β’ Establishes, builds, and develops the Medical Affairs group with clear goals aligning with company objectives. β’ Serves as the scientific resource to internal and external stakeholders delivering clinical and scientific presentations. β’ Collaborates with marketing and sales teams to coordinate development of the claim matrix. β’ Has strong performance-based management skills to build organizational and scientific capabilities. β’ Attends national medical conferences to engage in discussions with attendees.
β’ Advanced degree in a scientific discipline, MD or PhD is preferred β’ At least 8 years of medical device experience working in the medical affairs department β’ Strong communication and presentation skills β’ Experience in driving publication planning and execution β’ Experience in building and managing teams is desired β’ Strong analytical skills in analyzing scientific data and identify complex problems β’ Clinical trial design and management experience is desired β’ Travel expectations 70%
