β’ Responsible for all sales activities in assigned territory for the Raman and AFM portfolio β’ Charged with meeting or exceeding assigned Oxford Instruments Sales Targets β’ Primary point of contact for existing and potential new customers and distributors β’ Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to build territory action plans β’ Travel needed for meetings, trainings, tradeshows, and conventions β’ Focus on hunting activities and identification of new sales opportunities β’ Monitor local industry trends and competitor activity β’ Prospect funding agency, government, association, and customer websites for recently awarded grants β’ Daily updates to CRM system to ensure accuracy of information β’ Ongoing relationship management with existing customers β’ Proactively monitor funnel to ensure ample opportunities to meet sales targets β’ Attend trade shows and conventions as required β’ Utilize video conferencing, remote demonstrations, etc. to advance opportunities β’ Collaborate with OI Product Centers sales channels
β’ Bachelors in the Materials Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or other science degree preferred β’ 3-5 years Sales experience in the scientific space β’ In depth experience of relevant technologies, customers, and markets β’ Ability to travel approximately 50% time, including occasional international travel β’ Raman and/or AFM experience is strongly preferred β’ Possess a strong sense of urgency β’ Miller Heiman sales training preferred β’ Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of, and successful track record in, technical sales β’ Possesses a professional network and toolset enabling immediate results β’ Experience developing and implementing territory specific sales strategies to achieve goals β’ Scientific background or knowledge of the scientific market β’ Extensive experience with CRM platforms.
