• The Client: Rylee + Cru is a fast-growing lifestyle brand that blends whimsical, vintage-inspired designs with modern, high-quality craftsmanship, creating timeless clothing that balances playfulness and sophistication. • The Opportunity: Rylee & Cru is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Wholesale Sales to lead their wholesale growth efforts. • As the Director of Wholesale Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy that drives revenue growth, strengthens their market position, and builds a cohesive, high-performing sales team. • This role is key to driving business growth and bringing wholesale to the next professional level and offers a chance to work with a fast growing brand known for its timeless, whimsical aesthetic and high-quality craftsmanship.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. • 10+ years of experience in retail (apparel) and wholesale industry. • Experience attending apparel/gifting/resort/etc. industry trade shows (eg. Playtime, Atlanta Gift Expo, Surf Expo, etc.) • A strong network of domestic specialty stores, with a track record of growing brand presence in those. • Ability to work independently, prioritize the brand, and foster meaningful connections rather than relying solely on showrooms or mass marketing. • Passion for high-quality, well-crafted products and the ability to convey this to both the team and clients. • Track record of scaling a sales function in a growth-focused environment. • Hands-on, player-coach mentality with the ability to develop and lead a team, as well as contribute at an individual level. • Strategic thinker with the ability to adapt quickly. • Entrepreneurial and adaptable. • Familiar with trade show dynamics and new market penetration strategies. • Knowledge of NuOrder is a plus. • Proactive, motivated, and willing to spend facetime with buyers to build and nurture relationships. • Understanding of the brand/aesthetic and excited to grow the brand. • Proven history of meeting sales goals, managing expectations and tracking results. • A strong sense of ownership and responsibility. • Required to travel up to 50% of the time (mostly during trade show seasons Jan-Feb and then again July-September)
• Commission: Uncapped, with a target of $30,000 - $40,000 based on historical trends. (This will be the first dedicated role focused exclusively on driving sales in this area, so there’s strong potential for the actual commission to significantly exceed these initial projections.)
