Description

• The Beef Technology Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales of MICRO technologies • Plans and makes sales calls, understanding and selling unique values of all technologies • Builds long-term mutually beneficial relationships with feed yards, consulting veterinary practices, and consulting nutritionists • Presents and demonstrates new technologies to customers and educates them on features, advantages, and benefits • Quotes prices and credit terms based on target margin objectives • Ensures orderly transfer of customer relationship to appropriate customer representative • Compiles and maintains targets lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads • Assists field support computer technicians in installation and/or repair of any technology management system • Acts as secondary support person for all technologies in assigned territory • Coordinates and assists with training of personnel in the use of all technology systems • Participates in sales efforts with Outside Sales Representatives and Sales/Service Representatives

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree with one to three years of outside sales experience is required • If candidate does not have a Bachelor’s degree than a minimum of ten years’ related experience is required • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills and a proven ability to sell are necessary • A valid drivers’ license and good driving record are mandatory • Ability to travel overnight on occasion may be up to 50% of the time • Must live in the specified territory
