Description

• Samsara’s Legal team provides accessible and business-oriented legal guidance • Negotiate and draft contracts with federal, state, and local Public Sector customers • Ensure contracts align with business objectives • Improve and scale Public Sector contracting workflows • Manage contract management tools and workflows • Build strong relationships cross-functionally with internal stakeholders • Assist Legal team with various projects as needed • Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles as we scale globally

Requirements

• 2+ years of contracts management and contracts experience • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other federal, state, and local acquisition policies • Excellent contracting drafting and negotiation skills • Outstanding interpersonal skills for clear communication • Interest in being a true partner to business stakeholders • Ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships • High degree of professional integrity, ethics, and sound judgment • Highly proactive self-starter who delivers quality work within tight timelines • Humble, adaptable and flexible, with a growth mindset and desire to work on various matters • J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials • Membership in at least one U.S. state bar • Experience at a government procurement agency and/or established federal contractor is ideal • Experience with drafting and negotiating software license agreements is ideal • Experience with contracts management systems is ideal • Experience at a tech company is ideal • Fluency and/or experience working in Spanish and/or French is ideal
