The current state of infrastructure which is disintegrated and disconnected from each other does not allow the development of smart interconnected and integrated smart city applications.We are building an open source data exchange platform for smart cities with a focus on high velocity or real-time data.Through this, we envision to connect different stakeholders in a smart city like data producers and consumers to each other to enable a data economy, improve collaboration and simplify access to real-time data. The goal is to maintain high data quality, low latency, well-defined data sharing standards and easy deployability across different platforms. This would enable anyone to build integrated mobility applications from multi-modal route planning to inter-connected traffic signals managing traffic using AI.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Developing new sales opportunities through various prospecting methods, including phone calls, email campaigns, canvasing, Chamber involvement, etc. β€’ Record sales activities, opportunities, and sales in provided CRM program (Salesforce.com) β€’ Determining customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions. β€’ Product focus will be on SMB solutions, including Internet (Fiber), Local Phone, Long Distance, Audio Conferencing, Fax to Email, and Cloud Based Phone Systems. β€’ Use provided tools to put together contracts, quotes, and sample invoices in a timely fashion. β€’ Participating in regularly scheduled sales calls, sales target meetings, and all sales training sessions. β€’ Serve as direct point of contact for the customers you sell to ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction. β€’ Regular follow-up with clients to update information and resolve any issues. β€’ Participating in customer facing events like Lunch & Learns, trade shows, and expo booths as required. β€’ Assist with on-boarding and mentoring new Sales Hires as required. β€’ Performing other duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

β€’ At least 2 years of prior B2B sales experience β€’ Strong prospecting and communications skills are a must. β€’ Outgoing personality with expertise at developing relationships (i.e. a β€œpeople person") β€’ Must possess excellent sales skills, a positive and professional attitude, and a strong desire to succeed. β€’ Associate's Degree and/or equivalent work experience in the Telecommunications/Internet/Data field. β€’ Must have the ability to multi-task, be self-motivated and work in a sales team environment. β€’ Highly disciplined, independent, and organized β€’ Prior experience in telecom/data sales a plus
