β€’ Responsible for planning, organizing, executing, and attending a broad range of events for departments across the company. β€’ Lead the strategy, planning, organization, and execution of all events (virtual and in-person). β€’ Collaborate with marketing and other team leaders to strategize for upcoming events. β€’ Be a spokesperson for Upwards at virtual and in-person events. β€’ Be available to attend and travel to events the majority of the time. β€’ Coordinate event marketing and promotional materials to drive attendance and engagement. β€’ Manage the coordination of several events simultaneously. β€’ Build strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, key internal and external stakeholders. β€’ Oversee event set-up, production, and breakdown. β€’ Conduct in-depth post-event evaluations to analyze success, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

β€’ 3-5 years of experience leading event management/marketing, preferably for both B2C and B2B. β€’ Proven experience planning and executing events from start to finish. β€’ Extreme attention to detail to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. β€’ Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet quick turnaround times and strict deadlines. β€’ Nonstop creative thinking to brainstorm event strategies and ensure success for the audience attending (prospective clients, existing clients, families, caregivers, and/or government). β€’ Public speaking experience, specifically with larger in-person audiences. β€’ Knowledge of the childcare industry, HR, and employee benefits. β€’ Previous startup experience, bonus if it has been in tech. β€’ Excitement about working in a fast-paced, agile environment with a willingness to strategize and implement new processes. β€’ A solution-oriented mindset, you are assertive, a quick thinker, and meticulous. β€’ Exceptional communication and negotiation skills when working with external stakeholders and internal teams. β€’ Experience with budget management, negotiating contracts, and working with vendors. β€’ Expertise regarding event marketing techniques and best practices. β€’ Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
