β’ Drive top-line revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities. β’ Interface with target customers and Account Executives to increase divisional revenue via different methodologies. β’ Prospect to independently identify and pursue new business opportunities. β’ Work directly with Sales Management to determine appropriate involvement of Account Executives. β’ Accompany Werner Account Executives on customer joint calls to help validate, pursue, and secure new business opportunities. β’ Champion key RFPs and customer pricing requests. β’ Provide market expertise and competitive intelligence to Sales and Management teams. β’ Develop and maintain an activity report to review with management.
β’ A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Management, Transportation/Logistics, or equivalent experience. β’ Three to five years of marketing and/or operations transportation experience preferred. β’ Strong understanding of Last Mile/White Glove delivery services. β’ One to two years P.C. experience preferred. β’ Knowledge of transportation general practices and terminology usually gained through practical experience and on-the-job training. β’ Knowledge of all functional areas with Werner Logistics and all relevant departments with Werner Enterprises. β’ Ability to communicate knowledge of all functional areas with Werner Logistics and all relevant departments with Werner Enterprises. β’ Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines. β’ Excellent decision-making, communication and organizational skills. β’ Skill in planning and time management. β’ Working knowledge of computers including spreadsheet, word processing, Internet, and data analysis tools. β’ Sales and marketing experience preferred. β’ Multi-Dimensional Expressions (MDX) experience preferred. β’ Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
