• Position Overview: • As the Office Director for the Office of Training and Education (OTE) within the CDRH’s Office of Communication, Information Disclosure, Training and Education (OCITE), you will oversee both the Department of Employee Training and Development (DETD) and the Department of Industry and Consumer Education (DICE). • The Office Director is responsible for overseeing the strategic development and execution of both internal and external training. • Demonstrate strong business acumen as you strengthen OTE's capacity and capabilities. • Build a measurement framework to evaluate the effectiveness of training under your purview. • Translate organizational mission, vision and objectives into team goals and create a collaborative culture. • The Office Director manages the Center's training and development programs, including the creation and evaluation of science-based and leadership courses. • Oversee the Strategic Training and Education Plan, including technical training and leadership development. • The Director advises on incorporating new technologies into training programs and collaborates with cross-functional teams. • Provides executive leadership and technical direction to a team of scientific and professional employees. • Ensure alignment with program goals, optimize organizational structure for effectiveness, and manage the Office’s budget.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher preferred • 12+ years of leadership experience, with at least 6 years of senior leadership experience as a manager supporting and cultivating a team of people managers • Experience in developing and implementing training programs that have achieved Level 3 (Behavior) or Level 4 (Results) outcomes according to the Kirkpatrick Evaluation Model • Experience leading the development of training programs using an Agile-based approach, with a focus on iterative design, continuous feedback, and adaptability to meet evolving learning needs • Experience with Cornerstone’s Learning Management System • Experience working within scientific organizations, managing training programs tailored to specialized, technical, or research-focused environments • Experience building out training programs for large, federal government or federal government adjacent organizations • Experience collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, including contractors • Experience aligning to and adding value to both short- and long-term strategic plans • Experience in an operations environment • Experience with capacity planning and modeling • Experience in a customer service or service center environment
