📋 Description

This is a fully remote role for candidates who are based outside of the New York Metropolitan area. • Energy storage is the key to unlocking a future where our world is powered by renewable resources. • The Business Development Associate is a member of the C&I Sales Team who will be expected to bring in new opportunities to fuel a pipeline of energy storage and energy storage and solar-plus-storage projects for Convergent. • Bring in new energy storage and solar-plus-storage opportunities by identifying and qualifying commercial and industrial leads • Engage in daily outreach (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn messages, etc.) to find correct points of contact and convey Convergent’s value proposition over the phone and via email • Lead discovery calls with customers and shadow senior sales professionals on the remainder of the sales cycle, including proposals and contracting

🎯 Requirements

1-2 years of relevant experience in sales, recruiting, or other customer-facing roles • Prior experience and success selling to, presenting to, and persuading people • Willing to learn new materials around distributed generation, energy markets, and electrical systems • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook • Be a superior communicator – you’re an active listener with a high EQ • Be organized – you pay attention to the details, take meticulous notes, and read the fine print • Be a problem solver – you strive to be proactive in finding creative and unique solutions • Bachelor’s degree or other equivalent educational background • Experience with Sandler Sales Training and CRM systems is a plus
