Description

• The Development Manager will ideally be based in Southern California and work remotely. • The Development Manager will be joining CORE during a time of exponential growth as we build out our national fundraising strategy. • We are looking for a candidate with a visionary and entrepreneurial approach that is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment to support an international development strategy. • The Development Manager (Corporate & Foundation Relations) will work closely with the Associate VP of Development to support the corporate engagement strategy and oversee grants as well as manage and integrate teams across multiple geographies to crate maximum impact. • As a valued member of the Development Department, the Development Manager will be part of the frontline fundraising team, identifying new funding sources (including capital, program, and endowments) to support a $12M+ department, with expectations for significant growth over the next 3 years.

Requirements

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in business administration, business development, nonprofit management and development, client service, account management or related field. • Minimum of 3 years of grant writing experience, marketing/communications, corporate social responsibility, client account management, or a related field • Minimum of 3 years of fundraising experience, preferably within a high-level non-profit organization • Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of fundraising, institutional support, and/or corporate social responsibility • Strong attention to detail and have excellent project management and organizational skills • Creative and energetic thinker with a passion for giving back • Strong verbal communication, presentation, writing, and editing skills with the ability to turn complex concepts into an executable strategy for lay audiences. • Experience in building authentic relationships and the ability to connect with people from a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives. • Relationship with funders in the public health, climate resilience, and emergency response causes desired. • Proficient in MS Office Suite. Experience in a CRM software preferred, especially Salesforce or Raisers Edge, as well as a demonstrated ability to learn technology and systems quickly
