📋 Description
• Focus on beef cattle, small ruminant and show animal feed sales. • Primary sales for beef cattle, small ruminant and show animals in North/Central Virginia. • Calling on owners to evaluate feeding programs and assist with nutritional programs. • Selling/consulting at the farm gate (up to 25 farm calls per week). • Organizing and conducting educational meetings/events for 4H clubs, vets, etc.
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field strongly desired. • Candidates with pending bachelor’s degree or proven sales and industry experience may be considered. • Previous Sales experience highly desired. • Basic command of making nutritional and feeding recommendations to cattle, small ruminant and show animal owners. • Understanding of cattle, small ruminant, and show animal husbandry, management practices, and nutritional guidelines. • Competent in providing accurate feeding and management recommendations. • Strong computer skills, specifically MS Office. • Ability to be trained on ration balancing software (HerdSmart), Salesforce etc. • Strong background and previous professional experience with Cattle, Small Ruminant or Show animals. • Excellent verbal and written communication with strong organization and time management skills. • Ability and drive to make multiple daily sales calls to customers and prospects. • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. • Solid public speaking skills.
