• Rewiring America is the leading electrification nonprofit, focused on electrifying our homes, businesses, and communities. • We develop accessible, actionable data and tools, and build coalitions and partnerships to make going electric easier for households and communities. • This role is an individual contributor, get ready to roll up your sleeves and dig in alongside other members of the Investment team. • The Director, Foundation Relations is principally responsible for identifying institutional funding opportunities, managing the grant application process, building and strengthening relationships with organizational funders, and communicating grant progress. • The Director, Foundation Relations plays a pivotal role in co-creating fundraising strategies for the organization and securing funding for Rewiring America’s mission.
• Develop and maintain a plan to solicit, apply for, secure, and fulfill institutional fundraising grants. • Research prospective funders and advise on strategies to motivate significant gifts that align with funder priorities. • Serve as the lead on foundation grants to Rewiring America. Prepare, submit, and track proposals, and ensure that the objectives of grants and funding agreements are met and reported according to appropriate deadlines. • Track trends and opportunities to ensure that the case for support expresses Rewiring’s unique value proposition and considers donor/funder priorities. • Serve as Relationship Manager to high-value Institutional funders and prospects. • Support the VP Investment in supporting her existing portfolio of approximately 30 institutional funders who have collectively pledged over $60 million to Rewiring America. • Ensure consistent and meaningful communications with investors to facilitate strong relationship-building and stewardship. • Assist in planning and execution of funder events. • Track all institutional revenue and collaborate with members of the Investment and Finance teams on budgeting, reporting, and audits. • Contribute to the development of the Investment Team's annual fundraising plan. • Create departmental policies, procedures, and workflows.
