Description

• Achieve and exceed sales targets and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve organizational growth objectives in conjunction with established departmental plan • Identify and prioritize target markets and potential clients in line with the company’s capabilities and strategic goals • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies • Identify and engage new clients, understanding their needs and presenting tailored service offerings to secure new business • Oversee the preparation of proposals, contracts, and presentations to prospective clients • Negotiate budgets and scope of work ensuring alignment with both client requirements and company capabilities • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential opportunities, and competitive landscape • Provide insights on industry trends and client needs to inform business strategy and service development • Work closely with internal teams including clinical operations, Project Delivery Directors, resourcing, and finance to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction • Mentor team members involved in the sales process, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement • Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to senior management • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and generate new leads • Develop and deliver presentations to industry groups and stakeholders, showcasing the company’s expertise and service offerings • Ensure all business development activities are accurately accounted in the CRM or other tracking tools to maintain sales activities and track progress • Ensure appropriate hand-off of new projects by transferring knowledge on client needs and expectations to appropriate project partners

Requirements

• BA/BS Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing or Sciences within the pharmaceutical industry and/or clinical research industry • 5+ year’s sales and business development experience • In depth knowledge of the clinical research industry • Previous experience in selling clinical research services
