• Wood is currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager (G&D) with experience in Operations and end-market focus on the Americas Power and Downstream markets. The location of the role is flexible throughout the domestic US. • The BDM is responsible for developing and delivering strategic growth plans to establish and expand the existing Wood business within the power and industrial end markets. This role will be a single point of contact to promote and sell the full suite of services Wood has to offer across these verticals. The position will also coordinate and support offerings within Projects & Consulting business units to promote enhanced cross-selling.

Requirements

• Academic qualification in Business and / or Engineering preferred  • 10+ years working in the US Power and or Downstream sectors, with experience in steam generation, boilers, construction and maintenance. Preference for candidates with exposure to HRSGs and industrial boilers. • Understanding of the key functions within business development, the organization, customers, competitors, and the market • An extensive personal network of contacts across power clients • Operational experience and expertise • Strong business-winning track record across North America • Customers, competitors, markets, and the company’s service portfolio • Group performance and how it can deliver and add value to its customers • Complex strategic commercial and business models • Current and future industry trends • Strong and inspiring leader with excellent relationship development and business skills • Excellent communicator and key influencer • Trustworthy, with the highest level of integrity and ethical standards • Ability to engage individuals across all levels while being culturally aware • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously • Strongly developed influencing skills • Able to connect and establish effective, cross-cultural working relationships with all levels of the organization and externally • Consistently model and lead on the company’s core values • Credibility inside the company and externally with customers or partners
